Parboiled (not half- cooked) 2 cup water
Indian basmati or jasmine rice required one by one cup of water. Don’t use more than 1 ½ cup of water. Use bay or cardamom leaves to enhance the flavor.
It is an optional step; many people soak the rice before cooking as it takes less time to cook rice in a rice cooker. Measure the water that is required and then soak rice in it. After soaking, use the same water for cooking.
